How to make your camera more secure?

All Phylink cameras secured with the top secure AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption, 128 bit secret key (AES) is used for digital video encryption, ensuring that all data sent between the user and the camera is encrypted, preventing someone from accessing the information while it is in transit.

To ensure the security of your camera and prevent various types of hacking and unauthorized access, Phylink strongly recommends our customers to safeguard your privacy by taking the following security precautions.

  • Always change the default password as soon as you setup your camera.
    The camera comes with a default login password. Phylink strongly recommends our customers to safeguard your privacy by changing the default password as soon as you set up your camera. Input a password with less than 15 characters . Try to use a combination of lower-case and upper-case letters as well as numbers and special characters. Always protect your password safe.   • Make sure your camera has the latest security firmware installed for your specific camera model. The latest firmware for Phylink cameras utilize protection against various types of online hacking and unauthorized access.
    You can check the latest firmware from Downloads section.
  • Check the System Information page of your Phylink cameras often. The current user who access your camera will be displayed in Current users section on System Information page. It allows you to see exactly which IP addresses are accessing the camera. You will be able to tell if an outsider has gained access to your camera.
